What would you do...

If you had this?
Would you move it here to set your TV and other electronic goodies out of the way?

Or would you use it to store all of the craft stuff the craft stuff that accumulates with five home schooled kids and a mom who loves to pretend to be creative?

Here's a picture of the inside of one of our craft closets... the other one looks much the same.
What would you do? Would you do something completely different? I'm crying out for help here!
Be Blessed!

  1. I would definitely use it to get the tv and all the electronic stuff outta sight!! I can't stand having that stuff out in the open.

I would then work on getting some sort of shelving unit, or matching bins, or *something* for all the crafts (or clear out a closet or two). I would have no problem with everyone being able to SEE our creative supply stuff, as long as it was semi-organized.

But that's just my opinion - you may be more overwhelmed with the craft supplies. The wardrobe-type thingy may go *perfect* in the room where you want to store the crafts.

Whatever you do, it'll look better just having things all nice and organized and out of sight! That's a nice cabinet~

  2. I was thinking (before I read what you said)craft supplies. But see - we don't do the TV thing so I wouldn't make it into that! Godspeed! Make sure to post after-the-fact pictures so we can see what you decided upon!

  3. OR....use it for a closet if you need the space! Winter coats, gloves, scarfs, boots...(because I know you use all these things so much of the year :o)

  4. I would use it for the tv and electronics. It is a beautiful piece of furniture. Get some of those clear plastic bin drawers for your craft goodies!!

  5. Lots of great ideas. I am leaning towards using it for the TV but DH was wondering if that was the best choice.
I actually usually have the craft stuff better organized in bins but lately the girls have gotten craft kits that are too big to put in the bins. With the doors closed on the closets it's not too bad. :)

    L. If we did not have Life Group at our home with a video series we would not have the TV out here either. We only use it for Life Group, Wii and movies as a family.
I could easily move the Wii to the playroom and family movie time to my room. LOL
I will post an after pic.

    Any other ideas?
    Thanks guys!

  6. I would make a canning pantry out of it. You could hold many quart jars in there!

  7. I would use it for the electronics. You already have something for the crafts. It may not be the most organized but it is out of sight.

  8. TV- then, you can CLOSE the door and not have to look at the TV whn you don't want to have it in plain sight. :)

  9. I'd vote for the TV and assorted electronic stuff. IF it's deep enough.

There might even be room for some other stuff based on your pictures.

If the decision is too overwhelming, send it to me and I'll cram it full of fabric!

We have something like this with our TV, DVD player and etc in the top half and games and puzzles in the bottom half, and it would work great except the room it is in is only about 12x12 and it looms over the whole room. It seems so big, we've taken to calling it Frankenstein, which the kids picked up without knowing what it means at all.
